On Thursday, Kansas made history by passing a bill that defines women as “biologically born a female”. The bill passed 26-10 in the state Senate, with no support from any Democratic state senators. The bill’s passage has been met with outrage from leftists who view this as an attack on transgender rights. However, many Republicans see this as an important step in protecting women’s sports and conserving traditional gender roles. This also protects the safety of biological women with respect to prisons, domestic violence shelters, rape crisis centers, and other areas where safety and privacy are needed. Let’s take a closer look at this landmark legislation and why it is so controversial.
Kansas is the first state to pass Women’s Bill of Rights. It defines “woman” as someone who is biologically born a female. Crazy legislation has to now state the obvious.

The Bill’s Language and Intentions
The bill, spearheaded by Senator Renee Erickson, states that a female is defined as someone “whose biological reproductive system is developed to produce ova,” while “male” refers to anyone whose reproductive system “is developed to fertilize the ova of a female.” This means that all records relating to gender must include the phrase “biologically born a female” or “biologically born a male” if they are referring to gender. The bill also applies to public school documents, medical records, driver’s licenses, and more.
The intention behind this bill is to protect the safety of biological women as well as protect women’s sports from transgender athletes who have an unfair advantage. There is concern that allowing these athletes into female sporting competitions would be unfair to biological female athletes who have trained hard for years only to be beaten out by someone with an inherent physical advantage.
I applaud you Kansas. 👏🏻 Now let’s hope other States follow suit!

Kansas becomes first to pass Women’s Bill of Rights that defines ‘woman’ as someone who is ‘biologically born a female’ to preserve single-sex areas – like public restrooms, school sports, prisons and shelters
Leftist Outrage Over the Bill
Needless to say, leftist activists were infuriated over the passage of this bill because they believe it violates transgender rights. They argue that it will make life much harder for transgender people in Kansas since they will now have difficulty accessing healthcare and other services due to their misaligned gender identity on official documents. They also worry that this could set a dangerous precedent for other conservative states looking to pass similar legislation.
Now on SB 180, another bill targeting trans Kansans (but don’t worry – it’s equally offensive to cisgender Kansans)! It establishes the “Women’s Bill of Rights.” https://t.co/aAAJmcPb7p

Kansas has made history with its new law defining women as “biologically born a female”. While conservatives applaud the move as a necessary protection for the safety of women and the protection of women’s sports and traditional gender roles, leftists are furious at what they see as an attack on transgender rights. Democrat Governor Laura Kelly is expected to veto the bill. She has already vetoed a bill to prevent biological males from participating in women’s sports.
